Many international students who attend David’s Cake Craft Masterclasses travel to Liverpool from very long distances. After a few days of being absorbed in such intensive training combined with jet lag, it is natural that you may start feeling a little tired. So, we so we have a rest day scheduled on the 5th day of the course which gives everyone a day, wide open to enjoy at your leisure. You may wish to simply relax and replenish for the creative days ahead or have a party and discover Liverpool with fellow students, taking a magical mystery tour and explore wonderful city! Whether it is shopping or taking a scenic tour of the city centre with a travel guide ( that we can arrange for you) , it’s always great to discover the cultural, sights and sounds of Liverpool old and new! During your stay in Liverpool, you will also be invited to attend a meal at a traditional English Country Pub with David, assistant Edward, along with all the other students attending, so you will all be able to enjoy traditional English food and celebrate a beautiful together! This dining out evening will be presented with compliments of David’s Cake Craft. All this to ensure you have an amazing and unforgettable experience whilst staying with us here, our fantastic city!

Travelling to Liverpool from Manchester Airport
and Liverpool Airport

The nearest airport to us is John Lennon Liverpool Airport. Upon arrival at John Lennon Liverpool Airport we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the airport by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location. A return journey will cost approx £56 return (up to 4 passengers).
If you are flying into Manchester, flights may cost less than than flying into London. We suggest you check with your airline for more information. Upon arrival at Manchester Airport, we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the airport by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location. A return journey from Manchester to Liverpool will cost £90 return (up to 4 passengers). Please be aware that if you get a taxi outside the airport and it is with a Manchester taxi company it will cost you a lot more than booking airport taxi travel in advance.
Travelling to Liverpool from London Airports
with train connections
If you are flying into Heathrow or Gatwick easiest route is to then get a train into central London and the take a train from London Euston which will bring you into Liverpool, arriving at Liverpool Lime Street. Both Heathrow and Gatwick airports offer an express train service which from our experience is the best way to get into Central London to make your connection for Liverpool.
Heathrow Express train to Central London arriving at Paddington train station – Travel time is approximately 15 minutes.

Gatwick Express train to Central London arriving at London Victoria station – Travel time is approximately 30 minutes.

Upon arrival at the Central London Stations, you can then catch a London Underground (Tube) train to London Euston, ready to take the train to Liverpool Lime Street.
We find the best place to purchase train tickets is at If you book a direct train (Virgin Trains) from London Euston to Liverpool Lime Street the journey will take approximately 2.5 hours. Booking a journey with connections means you will have to change trains which can be a little stressful if connection times are very close. Train prices booked through the will vary, but you can pick up a great discounted deal if you book early. For peace and quiet during your journey add a ‘Quiet Carriage’ to your booking requirements.
Travelling from Liverpool Lime Street
to The Park Hotel by Taxi
There is a taxi rank outside Liverpool Lime station where you can easily get a Black Hackney cab to the Park Hotel teaching location which is approximately a 15 to 20 minute drive from Lime Street station. Taxi fares will vary according to the time of day. Black Hackney Cabs are more expensive than a private hire taxi. Private hire taxi number: SRC Taxis 0151 928 3535
Alternatively upon arrival at Lime Street Station, we can arrange transport services for you, so you are met at the train station by a driver who will then take you to The Park Hotel teaching location. Please feel free to contact us should you require any further assistance.
Travelling to Liverpool
from London by Coach

There is a coach service from London Victoria to Liverpool One Coach Station which can be booked via National Express The coach journey is much longer and can take between 5 to 7 hours depending on departure times. The Coach journey terminates in Liverpool City Centre.
Travelling from Liverpool City Centre
to The Park Hotel with ‘Merseyrail’
Once you arrive into Lime Street station, you can talk a short walk to Central train station (about 8 minutes walk from Lime Street station).  Once you arrive Central train station you can purchase a ticket at the box office to travel on Merseyrail to Aintree station. You then need to take a train to Aintree station which travels on the Ormskirk Line which you enter through the ticket barrier. The train journey is approximately 17 minutes from Central train station to Aintree station. Once you get off the train walk out of the main entrance to Aintree station and turn right , then walk to the traffic lights and then turn right again onto Park Lane. Then walk straight down Park Lane to Dunnings Bridge Road ( about a 25 minute walk ) and you will then be in sight of the Park Hotel which is just across the road as you exit Park Lane.

For students wishing to stay in Liverpool City Centre
please read the following information

David’s Cake Craft 7 day International Event teaching location (The Park Hotel) is approximately 20 minutes by taxi from Liverpool City Centre. Taxi fares from the City Centre to The Park Hotel are about £12.00 – £15.00 and the same for the return fare depending on time of travel.
You can also travel via train from Liverpool Central Station 
to Aintree Station on the ‘Ormskirk Line’. Train fares are from approximately £3.45 for a daily return ticket and can be purchased at the train station ticket office. Travel time from Liverpool Central Station to Aintree Station takes approximately 17 minutes and then it is a 20 minute walk to the Park Hotel.
